It looks like a Hog Nose....they play dead and roll over sometimes....like frogs to eat and look scarey, are short and fat...but supposedly not poisonous, but will bite if intimidated....no matter....they scare me every time I see one, even a safe one....the trip was a good idea! Lucky he was in a can!
That is such a little snake...my superman found a snake on the trails behind my neighborhood and when he told me he almost brought it home I though: 'Where the heck am I going to put it.' Then he showed me a picture...it was the size of a pocket. Love your blog.
